Specialized has thrown the “status quo” of gravel geometries out the window. The new Diverge has one of the most progressive geometries Specialized has ever designed for a drop bar bike. This allows it to present you with a frame with very balanced riding characteristics. Specialized has lengthened the reach, flattened the steer angle and added a longer offset fork. Together, this creates a platform that delivers confidence and riding stability on gravel and rough terrain. This paired with shorter stems ensures that the handlebars don’t move too far away and the steering remains dynamic. The depth of the bottom bracket is such that 650b wheels can be fitted, but smoothness is maintained.

Specialized has given the Diverge a variety of mounting points, which can also be found on the fork and top tube. So no matter how long you’re going to be on the road, you can take your gear with you. Want to ride wider tires? We’ve taken that into account too, the Diverge has 47mm of tire clearance with 700C tires and 2.1″ with 650b wheels.

The Diverge borrows the SWAT storage compartment from the legendary Stumpjumper. In this compartment you have space to store tools, inner tube or energy bars. This way, your back is free and your stuff is stored in the frame with a low centre of gravity.
