Big Tires For Big Traction
Hardtails are great for cruising on the fire roads, shredding the singletrack, and climbing steep hills. If you combine this with plus-sized tires, you’ll have exceptional traction anywhere you go. The Kona Big Honzo DL Bike is a 27.5+ version of the classic Honzo hardtail. It has a 6061 aluminum butted frame that uses 130mm of travel on the front and can switch between 27.5+ tires or 29″ tires. The frame features external cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, and stealth dropper post routing.
The Big Honzo DL comes with a Shimano Deore 12-speed drivetrain. With a 32T chainring up front and a 10-51T cassette on the rear, you’ll have no issues climbing or pedaling through difficult terrain. Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brakes provide highly reliable stopping power so you can descend under control. WTB ST i35 TCS wheels are paired with Schwalbe Nobby Nic TLE tires. The wheels and tires can be set up tubeless for a smoother ride, better traction, and fewer flats. With the TranzX Dropper Post, you’ll be able to quickly lift and lower your saddle with the press of a lever.
